Nobody says my love life isn’t normative when the collection plate is passed around.

Nobody says my love life isn't normative when the collection plate is passed around.

After two days of high drama and multiple voltes-faces in Dublin, it’s still too early to say what will happen tomorrow. Please keep praying that God will send His Holy Spirit to lead the Church into being the inclusive community of love modelled by Christ. Our new campaign slogan shows exactly what’s wrong with current Church policy; it is the right size and shape to be used without modification as a Facebook cover image.

Sexuality is never an issue when LGB people assume the duties of church membership… I’ve never heard a cleric tell me I shouldn’t put money in the plate, or come in on a Saturday morning to get the church ready for Sunday, or spend time with the distressed people who often turn up at a city centre church. LGBT people are welcome to pay, pray and obey (especially to pay). As long as they don’t make the mistake of thinking they’re equal human beings in 2012.

This just isn’t good enough.
